As you know, I love the internet. In this series I’ll show you the bloggers, vlogers and websites I get inspiration from.
Mighty Girl AKA Maggie Mason is my favorite inspirational blogger.
She’s the one who encouraged us all to make a Life List. A list of things big and small, silly and stupendous to accomplish before we go.
She has first person advice on travel, fashion, books, gadgets, parenthood and in general, living a life that is genuine to who we are and who we want to be.
It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown was the first animated prime time special. It’s 44 years old this year.
Gavin and I watch it together, repeating all our favorite lines, as is the only way to watch a cult favorite!
My favorite lines are when Sally gives Linus what for when she realizes she’s wasted her whole evening in the pumpkin patch:
In a letter to his wife Harry Truman wrote: “I sit here in this old house, all the while listening to the ghosts walk up and down the hallway. At 4 o’clock I was awakened by three distinct knocks on my bedroom door. No one there. Damned place is haunted, sure as shootin’!”
I’ve been a comic book fan for a very long time. Mike Mignola is one of the masters, Hellboy is one of the best! Really, who wouldn’t be charmed by a cigar chomping supernatural crime fighting demon born in hell but raised by a kindly professor?
From the web site:
Waking up in an empty hospital after weeks in a coma, County Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) finds himself utterly alone. The world as he knows it is gone, ravaged by a zombie epidemic. The Walking Dead tells the story of the weeks and months that follow after the apocalypse. Based on Robert Kirkman’s hugely successful and popular comic book series, AMC’s new original series, The Walking Dead, premieres with a 90-minute episode on Halloween night: Oct. 31 at 10/9c.
And here’s the trailer: (possibly NSFW, definitely not viewing for young kids)
You should go to the web site and check out all the behind the scenes stuff too!
Oh, and I’m sorry about the earworm the song in the preview causes…
